Knitting update:
My knitting time has been some what limited due to getting our garden in and taken care of. And, man oh man! do I miss it! I have been thinking that I would be finished with this ZigZag scarf for 3 days now!! LOL!
Yesterday I had some family issues come up and by the time I sat down to knit last night, my brain wanted some 'mindless' knitting. So instead of finishing the scarf I dug out my 'Mindless Baby Blanket'. Oh, the JOY of having so many WIP's!!

A collection of some of our spring flowers.

This is love for God: to obey His commands.
And His commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world.

Frog porn!!

Pond lilies.

There is no fear in love.
Prefect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I got a whole day of knitting in yesterday!!
I needed it and appreciated it so very much!!
Here is what I worked on: the logcabin afghan, the cotton squares for an afghan and these two scarfs, one from my new book (thanks again, Amy!) in the ZigZag pattern and one using the Garterlac Dishcloth pattern.

Baby praying mantis sleeping on a blanket flower.
We had heavy fog this morning. It was a PERFECT photo op! The best in a very long time! I was out for only a little over an hour and I took about 100 shots!! It will take me a little to get through all of them, but here is one of my favorites!

Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul.
Ps. 143:8

A frog in our pond.
We have several and they have been so loud at night, I wonder if the neighbors can hear them!
That's ok, I'd rather listen to the frogs than to a dog barking all night!

A sampling of our daisy's.

but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.

LOOK what I got yesterday!!
I went to a garage sale! Ok, I was just as thrilled to be stopping at a garage sale as I was to find this treasure!! Bags of granny squares for $2.00!! And they are beautiful! Some one has put alot of time into these. I will put them together and pass them on!
Oh, yeah, did I mention I got to go to a garage sale??!!!

Update on the log cabin afghan.
It is going well! Of course, each strip is getting bigger and taking longer to knit, but I am still having so much fun with it!

My kalidascope of iris!

but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.

I am one little happy camper!! I have waited ALL winter to see this!!
The praying mantis babies are being born!!
Hundreds of them come out of the cocoon on this little stringy looking thing

Once they are out, it takes a few minutes for them to take off!
I was so happy and so sad all the same time!! I am thrilled that they are here and was so sad to see how quickly they scatter! But I know they come out hungry so they had to go find some 'breakfast'!

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

LOOK what came in the mail yesterday!!!
THANK YOU, AMY!!!
This is a book that has been on my 'wish-list' for quite some time now!!

And look what I got yesterday! My camera is just a little p&s. Never, in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be able to get a good picture of a dragonfly!! But this little fellow sat there just long enough for me to get him! Of course, I didn't have much time! He didn't stick around too long!

By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations, by understanding He set the heavens in place; by His knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.
Prov. 3:19-20

We had a fabulous weekend! Yesterday we went to a car show. I am not a 'gearhead', but there is something so fascinating about all those bright, shiny cars sparkling in the sunshine! Then we walked up to the river. I think I needed a 'water fix'! I enjoyed that as much as the car show! A perfect day to be on the water, as there were quite a few fisherman out enjoying it as well!

Then we went to the grandson's soccer game. I've never been to a soccer game. I was clueless as to what was going on, except that a open field filled with a bunch of 6-8 yr boys kicking a ball around sure looked like fun!

Knitting content: I did work on my log cabin afghan a bit last evening. I am beginning to think I have a problem! I woke up this morning with the desire to start something else! I want to try the flying geese pattern in this book. But I am out of empty needles!! I have got to finish something. soon!!

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1

LOL! Ok, I didn't have much time to knit yesterday, but I just could not resist getting started on this log cabin afghan!!

The kids had us over for supper last night to celebrate all the May holidays.
After grilling supper, we had a campfire.
It was a wonderful evening!

The daughter and I even had a minute to walk to around the pond before supper!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

I got an unexpected trip to the library yesterday!! And as if I have nothing else to do, look what just HAD to come home with me!!! Mason-Dixon Knitting. I have heard so much about this book! I have to learn how to knit a logcabin afghan!! The pages of this book will be well worn by the time it gets returned!!

We have such lovely flowering weeds!

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

Knitting update!
Here is what I've been working on the last 2 days while in waiting rooms.
Yesterday I worked on the baby blanket. Tues. I finished the hat on the #5 circulars. And I worked on the Furrow Row scarf.
In the evenings, I finished a cotton square for the afghan and cast on for another.

Before taking off yesterday, I did take a quick look around the garden to see what the storm had brought us the night before!

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
