My Christmas cactus is blooming again!

The world and its desires pass away,
but the man who does
the will of God lives forever.

There are still leaves on the apple tree.

crocheted hat.

There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment.
The man who fears is not made perfect in love.

Today, I am thankful for a 'rain day'!

The next 'square sweater'.
T-top style child's sweater constructed with
previously crocheted squares.
This one has a crocheted yoke/sleeves.

This is the assurance we have in approaching God:
that if we ask anything according to His will,
He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us-
whatever we ask-
we know that we have what we asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15

It is December and we have green things growing in the garden!

New-to-us breakfast treat!:
Old-fashioned oatmeal cooked with
grape kool-aid instead of water,
then a dollop of  crunchy peanut butter added!

Child's crocheted sweater.
A few years ago, a dear friend gave me a box of
crocheted squares.
She had made the squares with the plans
of giving them to an organization and
having them put together into afghans.
She changed her mind and gave them to me instead.
These squares have never told me that they wanted to be blankets.
They wanted to be sweaters!
And they wanted to be sweaters NOW!
So I am putting them together in a basic T-top style.
This one is crocheted around the bottom
and crocheted yoke/sleeve with some shell stitches mixed in.

This is love for God:
to obey His commands.
And His commands are not burdensome,
for everyone born of God overcomes the world.
1 John 5:3

This is love:
not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent His Son
as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends
since God so loved us,
we also ought to love one another.
1 John 4:10-11

I think we have a Sparrow Tree!

This is how we know what love is:
Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives
for our brothers.

Be self-controlled and alert.

His divine power has given us everything we need
for life and godliness
 through our knowledge of Him
who called us by His own glory and goodness.
Through these He has given us
His very great and precious promises,
 so that through them
you may participate in the divine nature
and escape the corruption in the world
caused by evil desires.

the low, gray clouds of November.

crocheted hat.

For God, who said,
'Let light shine out of darkness,"

Today I hope to do the same!

you believe in Him
and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

Making a grocery list....

and doing some cleaning
in preparations for the big day!

I was so thrilled to see the postman had left a
package for me the other day!
Inside were these beautifully handmade hats!
THANK YOU, ALYCIA for
thinking of me! I will be sure that they
get to where they are needed!

The Lord is slow to anger and great in power;
the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.
