Just a quick flower update today.
Here are some black raspberry blossoms. We have 3 bushes in our front yard and have never eaten a single berry! Those silly birds always get them first!
A cornflower. Most of the cornflowers we have are a solid dark blue. This streaked one really caught my eye!
The first mini rose to bloom this season. This little bush has been through soooo much and still continues to bloom! It was in a dumpster behind a grocery store. I saved it, brought it home, planted it. Fabulous. Then it needed to be moved several times due to house remodeling. It just doesn't seem to mind at all!!
A wild rose bloom. Dug this bush up from the ditch bank in front of the house. These little roses have just the absolutely best smell!! But they are loaded with thorns!
And the first galardia of the summer to bloom. I prefer to call them blanket flowers. Just sounds better! Hubby calls them goblins. Whichever. The first ones are always the most appreciated and best loved!
God comes and takes us out of our emotionalism, and then our complaining turns into a hymn of praise. No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God living within the human spirit; it creates an inner invincibiltiy. (O. Chambers)
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise. Heb. 13:15
