here again!
...His incomparably great power for us who believe! Eph. 1:19
Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning!
These are the hats that I knitted while waiting at the hospital. (Honey had gallbladder surgery.) For those who know me, please don't have a heart attack! Yes! I really did do two hats the same! But I just needed to work with bright, cheery colors at the time. And the wooden needles that Honey made for me out of dowel rods were just perfect! So smooth and quiet while he was resting.

It's a Monday
Therefore, since we hae been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
Here is what I worked on yesterday. Didn't finish a thing! But I did get yarn ready for several more hats and worked on each of these for awhile. I am having so much fun with each of them, it's hard to decide which one to pick up and work on first!

see.....?
The mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground.
Ok, ok, I haven't kept up with the hour a day on this silly blanket. But, see this?? I am working on it today! Spent some time sitting in the sunshine with it...
Then I moved over to my chair and spent some more time with it!
I will keep working. Promise!

Measure your wealth not by the things you have, but by the things you have for which you would not take money.
I was a bit 'down' yesterday, so I went and found some 'fun' yarn to play with. This is not the best of pictures, but I am quite happy with the hats. You know how it is, I make so many hats and there are just some that I like better than others. The two yesterday and these two are among some of my personal favorites.

trying dpn's again
today's challenge: trying dpn's again..
I did a couple of hats on dpn's last fall. I wasn't real happy. But, after reading about all of the people who knit socks, I am determined to try again. I'm sure my problem is that I just need practise, practise, practise. So far, I just feel like I am all thumbs!! It is not going smoothly at all!
But I will keep trying! I will, of course, post the results!

UFO has crossed over
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Act. 17:24-25
This UFO has crossed over to WIP! It started out as a quick little project just playing around with a new pattern, some mixing of yarn colors and fun stitches. I really suck at math! It has now turned into a large project of which I will run out of yarn and have already run out of patience! But I am determined to finish it. I can't stand UFO's hanging around!

SPRING is here!!!
Better one handful with tranquilty than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.
Ecc. 4:6
Our first crocus has bloomed!! AND the red-winged blackbirds are back! AND we have a frog out sunning himself along the pond!! Oh what a great day!!
Here are my hats from yesterday. Using the KK red loom with the chunky braid stitch. I am really liking the way they are coming out. Heavy, warm and full of color! This style is giving me an opportunity to use up some scraps of sport and baby weight yarns that I have and focus more on color than any special technique. With rain forcasted for the next few days, I'm sure I will be picking up the knitting needles and trying some new stitches soon!

He has not left himself without testimony: He has show kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills you hearts with joy. Acts 14:17
Well, it's back to hats for a bit. After the challenge of the pants and sweater, I think my brain needed some 'down' time! I have been making hats on the round loom. Just playing with lots of color! No thinking about stitches or such!

getting back in gear
I have set the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Ps. 16:8
I caught a headcold and have been feeling a bit under the weather for about a week now. I think I finally am feeling back to 'normal'. (whatever that means!) The knitting has been slow going this week. But I did manage to finish a couple of hats. The sweater is still in progress.
