This little fellow needs to be heading south!

Just showing off some of my daughter's charity work!

Praise the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all His benefits-
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
Ps. 103:2-5

Another generous, wonderful donation of yarn!
THANK YOU, CHRIS!!!
Oh, I can hardly wait to get my needles into this!!!

Let this be written for a future generation,
that a people not yet created
may praise the Lord:
"The Lord looked down from His sanctuary on high,
from heaven He viewed the earth,
to hear the groans
of the prisoners and
release those condemned to death."

Whoever wants to become great among you
must be your servant,

and whoever wants to be first
must be your slave-
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served,
but to serve,
and to give His life as a ransom for many.

"I tell you the truth,
it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Again, I tell you, it is easier for a camel
to go through the eye of a needle
than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Shout for joy to the Lord,

make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing with trumpets
and the blast of the rams horn-

First frost.

this mornings sunrise.

He (Jesus) replied, "When evening comes, you say,
"It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,"
and in the morning, "Today it will be stormy,
for the sky is read and overcast."

You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky,
but you cannot interpret the signs of the times."

It is with great honor that I can say that my charity knitting will be taking a back seat for a little while. Hubby has finally asked me to knit a sweater for him! After 3 yrs of saying that he wouldn't wear one, he has decided that he needs a sweater this winter!
Here is the pattern that he picked out!
(Quite the challenge for me!)
But if he is going to pick out the one he likes, I am going to make it for him!!

And here is the progress as of this morning:

He picked out the yarn!
Beautiful color, huh?!
I am needing to make some changes to the pattern due to needing a larger size.

Of course, I will still have hats for charity on the needles. I know that there are going to be times when my fingers will want to knit and my brain will not be able to function. But for those of you who check daily for charity updates, there may be a few days between pictures!
I will be back to the charity knitting as soon as possible because I know that the need is just so great, especially this year.

Let the heavens rejoice,
let the earth be glad;

let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy;
they will sing before the Lord, for He comes,
He comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples in His truth.

Ps. 96:11-13

My daughter has joined me in knitting for charity.
Here are just a few of her first items.

She needed to take time out and knit
something for herself!!

For Your make me glad by Your deeds, O Lord;
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

http://www.dailyguideposts.com/knitforkids
worked with RedHeart SuperSaver.
I tried to start this sweater many months ago. I just could not get it come out right and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. So I tucked it away in a corner and let it just rest for awhile. Then a few weeks ago, I found it, got it out and tried again. It came together beautifully! This will go to a local charity to brighten a child's day and keep them warm. It certianly brightens my day! It was a fun and challenging sweater to do!
