What great fun it was to make this!

A couple more pictures from the river.

I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but YOU give us victory over enemies, YOU put our adversaries to shame. In GOD we make our boast all day long, and we will praise YOUR name forever.

Yesterday was a rainy, drippy, dreary day.
I did some crocheting, knitting and finished up these 2 hats on the looms.
When I went out for the paper, I checked on some of my buddies. They were all having some lunch. This one will be a Monarch.
And this one will be a Swallowtail.
This rain is really bringing out the zinnia's!

I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of mud and mire; He set my feet ona rock and gave me firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a humn of praise to our God. May will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Ps. 40:1-3

The baby afghans are done!

Crocheted. Using I hook. Worked in Red Heart Baby Sport Pompadour. Size 36"X36"
I am quite pleased with them! And they were a wonderful change from the knitted hats. I really enjoyed making them!

Yesterday we had rain, rain, and more rain. More of the same today. So here is a mint and a garlic chive from last week!

For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hill. I know every bird in the mountians, and the creatures of the field are mine.

Check this out! Do I have my Honey well trained or what??!! I was busy this afternoon when he found this praying mantis hanging out on the bathroom window. He ran for my camera and took some pictures!! What a great guy!!

A rose in my mom's flower bed. And a marigold outside the kitchen window.
Another mantis was posing for me yesterday!
To break up the boredom of the baby blanets, I did a couple hats on the looms. (wow, that one came out really dark in the picture, huh? Sorry 'bout that!)

"I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. From the east I will summon a bird of prey; from a far off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do." Is. 46:10-11

Ok, so yesterday, when I was out in the garden, I also found this little fellow that just looked different. A funny color. So I put him in my bug catcher and brought him in the house. Look what I woke up to this morning! He shed overnight!!
After a quick photo shoot, I put him back out on the hosta leaves, where he came from.

Then I was looking around some more this morning and found this monarch catepiller having lunch. And this monarch butterfly getting ready for it's trip south.

I also found this very bight, colorful fuzzy!

Even to your old age and gray hears I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Is. 46:4

Look what found me this morning! I was out in the garden playing around. Came in the house for bit. Bent over, and this guy fell on the floor! He must have gotten caught in my hair. I laid him on this paper napkin and watched him for a few hours. We had to leave for awhile this afternoon, so I took him back out to the garden and laid him on a leaf. When we got back, he was gone. I did not even know until last summer that praying mantis shed! Then I got to looking around the web and find out they do it about 12 times in one season! Isn't that amazing!

Then I found these guys out and about today. Amazing how different they are in size and color!

Having a secret stillness before God means deliberately shutting the door on our emotions and remembering Him. (O. Chambers)

Another yarn donation!! THANK YOU, NONA!!

Our first (and only) fruits of our labor from our garden this year!! Oh how wonderful! So sweet and juicy!

Was out walking through the yard this morning and found these little guys! What a surprise! I hadn't even noticed them before!

Check this guy out! Looked like I woke him up!

A child of God never prays to be made aware of the fact that God answers prayer, because he is so restfully certian that God always answers prayer. (O. Chambers)

Wow! Looks like maybe the picture loading problem has been fixed! Fabulous! I have really missed being able to easily post pictures! Funny how I got so much into the habit of having this blog!

Here are my recent WIP's, as of this morning.

I have been asked to make two baby blankets for twin girls expected to arrive in Oct. I have (finally) decided on a simple crochet pattern that will work up quickly and allow me to play with some color.

On Sunday I decided I was finally ready to maybe tackle something a bit more challenging than a simple hat. So I gathered up some yarn and started this child's sweater for charity.

And, of course, some bright and beautiful flowers!!

When Peter saw him, he asked, "Lord, what about him?"
Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?
You must follow Me."
