the first peonie to open!

here is the updated picture of the
XS project. Not much got done this
week. I was more interested in
knitting hats!

Here is one of them!
Just using up some scraps.

This service that you perform
is not only supplying the needs of God's people
but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

This yarn is kind of hard to work with because of
all the 'bumps', but it does make for some
cute looking hats!

This yarn is so beautiful and fun to work with!
Not real sure how warm it will be, but it is
certainly bright and colorful!

And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen,
but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.

this little guy was out enjoying an evening
stroll at the same time I was!

Update on the XS.
I will try to give weekly updates on this project.
Just because that will help keep me motivated to work
on it! It has been put to the side the last three
days. But I just HAD to do some knitting!!
Time to get busy on this again!

Therefore, we do not lose heart.
Though outwardly we are wasting away,
yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

Mitered Square Afghan.
Most of it is worked with 1 strand of Bernat Softee
in white and 1 strand Lang Yarns Bebe Color Superwash.
Finished size is 36X36.
This started out as my 'grab & go' project nearly 2 yrs ago.
I finally decided that it just needed to be finished and a new
project started for my 'ready to go' bag!

Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.

wild geranium

I had a bit of unexpected free time early this morning.
Of course I used it to work on the XS project!
But, as I was working, this little fellow scampered past the house.
Then he saw the cats! And took off up the tree!

Columbine

My daughter brought this to me yesterday.
She has knitted this wonderful basketweave piece,
and asked me to do something with it to make
it large enough for a baby blanket.
Of course I said I'd love to!
But it will have to be put on hold for just a little
while until I finish my own current projects!
But I have some great ideas of what to do
with it!

When we are judged by the Lord,
we are being disciplined
so that we will not be condemned with the world.

A beautiful weed!

This is the progress I have made so far on the
counted cross stitch project that I have been asked to do.

For those of you who check my blog regularly for charity knitting,
I may not have a daily hat to show for a little while.
I have a commitment to do this XS picture.
I also have a knitted child's afghan (for charity) on the needles
that I am working on. So for the time being, 'large' projects
are taking up my time instead of so many 'smaller' items!

Nobody should seek his own good,
but the good of others.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.
And God is faithful;
He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted,
He will also provide a way out
so that you can stand up under it.

My daughter and I have finished our Central Park Hoodies!!
I am so very proud of her! She just learned to knit last summer
and this is her first sweater! She did an amazing job! I have admired this
pattern for a quite a while and was thrilled when she asked me to do
it with her!
Her's is worked with RedHeart Fiesta and mine is worked with
RedHeart SuperSaver.
We started these sweaters months ago, but we both kept getting
side-tracked with our charity knitting projects!

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-
His good, pleasing and perfect will.
