Here is the newest sweater I've started.
And then last night I just couldn't help myself! I had to start something else new! A baby blanket using Peaches 'n Cream cotton.
Our Buckeye Tree. This poor little thing. My dad gave us this tree a couple of years ago. It was a volunteer in his yard that the squirrels had planted. Dad dug it up and gave it to us. We planted it. Thought it died. It got totally beat up during the whole barn tear down and building a new barn. It survived it all. I sure hope it survives the snow plow now!!
O my Strength, I sing praise to You; You, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Child's Sweater for charity.
I used the basic pattern from Guideposts. But, of course, I had to do my own thing! This is the front. There are 3 cables running down the front from the neck to the waistband. And striped of varigated yarn across the sleeves.
This is the back. A bit of dark blue across the back of the sleeves along with the varigated.
Now, on to the next one!!
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.
Ps. 57:5

Just look at this BEAUTIFUL rug that was made for me! It is perfect!
THANK YOU, Hank & Helen!!
The sun was out yesterday and so were we! There is still quite a bit of snow on the ground everywhere, but this little fellow found a clear batch in the flower garden and was just enjoying the wonderful sunshine!
This is the square I knitted for the mid-February KAL. This is my first 'real' experience using YO's and SSK. Up to now, they have scared me and I have steered away from them. But getting a start during a KAL really seemed to help! A few rows a day seemed to take the preassure off of learning something new. And now I know I can do it!! Of course, I need much more practice! This is far from perfect!
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Emma's set.
The middle of the scarf is what had been worked by her Grandmother before she passes away. I just 'framed' it with white and a ruffle, then made a hat and mittens with the rest of the yarn.
This was yesterday's weather. All day. Frozen fog. the fog didn't lift until about 10:30 last night. I'm not real sure when the temps got above freezing. It was sometime after I went to bed!!
Fretting rises from our determination to have our own way. Our Lord never worried and was never anxious, because His purpose was never to accomplish His own plans but to fulfill God's plans. Fretting is wickedness for a child of God. (Phil. 4:6) All our fretting and worrying is caused by planning without God.

My current WIP. A child's sweater for charity. I am using the pattern from Guideposts. But, of course, I have to do my own thing!
Snow Babies made by the grandkids over the weekend!!
Aren't they adorable!!!
He who sacrifices thank offerings honors Me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.

Just needed a bit of sunshine today! This is an iris from early last summer.
The birds don't really seem to mind all this snow as long as they can get fed!
A couple of Mrs. Cardinal's showed up for breakfast the other day!
The Lord gives strength to His people;
the Lord blesses His people with peace.

More knitted mittens.
We have special company staying for the weekend, so the knitting may have to be put on hold for a few days!
But we still have snow!! And getting more today!
When we are on a mission for Jesus Christ, there is no time to stand up for ourselves. Looking for (self) justice is actually a sign that we have been diverted from our devotion to Him. If we look for justice, we will only begin to complain and to indulge ourselves in the discontent of self-pity.

My Aunt asked me to do some repair work on this crocheted afghan that had been made by her mother many years ago.
A very lovely afghan that had obviously taken alot of work.
Because Jesus lives forever, He has a permanent priesthood, therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

This was our driveway and garden yesterday afternoon! Of course, it didn't look so great because it was in the driveway, but the wind did make some beautiful patterns in the drifts!
We got dug out and cleaned up! Here is the sunset at the end of a lovely day!
Hats worked on the looms!
Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.
Ps. 40:5

This is my 'during' picture. This was taken yesterday evening just before dark.
And here is my 'after' picture. This was taken this morning as the sun was coming up and the clouds were moving out.
Now we have lots of bright sunshine and beautiful blue sky and lots of wind! The snow will be blowing and drifting all day with the wind chills below zero.
Knitted mittens.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hat and mitten set. The ribbing is worked in acrylic and the rest is worked in cotton.
I really enjoy using the cotton, however it doesn't have the 'give' that acrylic does so it takes a bit of getting used to! But I just can't not work with those colors!! Aren't they fabulous!!!
This is a 'before' picture. I just took this picture looking out the window here at my computer. We are currently under a blizzard warning and expecting 10+ inches of snow by tomorrow morning. I thought the picnic table, pine tree and flower kettle would be great reference points. I will take a picture tomorrow morning and see just what 10 inches of blowing snow looks like!
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

My sweater is finished!!
I am still laughing! First, because I can't believe it is finally finished! And second, because I can't believe I actually did this!!
He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals His thoughts to man, He who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth-the Lord God Almighty is His name.

Ok! First let me explain, I didn't get to post any pictures yesterday because silly me wasn't doing something right! You would think that after all this time I'd get it figured out!! But no, all day long I was thinking Blogger was having a problem! Here it was just me!!
Another hat and mitten set.
The wind turbines just outside of Bowling Green, OH. There are four of them and I think they are so fascinating!
God does not ask you ability or your inability. He asks only your availability.

LOL! Here is an 'oops' picture!! I really wanted to catch the frost on the tree branches this morning. But it just didn't work out!! Oh well. Another day maybe!
A hat and mitten set I finished yesterday using yarn from my latest donation.
I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord" - and You forgave the guilt of my sin.

More loomed hats.
We needed to be out and about today. We drove along the Maumee River on the way home. The clouds have taken over. Most of the river was ice covered, however there were holes with moving water where the ducks and geese were hanging out.
Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.
Ps. 19:12-13
