We have been having some beautiful sunshine and blue sky for a few days. Hubby and I went for a nice long walk the other day. Wish it were spring! Today is cold and rainy.
More hats!
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Here is a candle set that my daughter made for me for Christmas. She has some of those mirror tiles that she edged some beautiful flowers and butterflies on and then her boyfriend added the wood trim around the edge. The she added the cinnamon stitcks and ribbon and my favorite flavor of candles!
Here are some more hats that I've been working on the last few days.
( crazy...have no idea how I got those underlines!)
...put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of it's Creator.
Col. 3:10

Ok, Now I am really doing a HAPPY DANCE!!
I can post again. Complete with pictures!!!
After all the Christmas gift knitting, I am back to hats. Every year I make my own personal goal of how many I would like to get done in that year. Every year it is a few more than the previous year. I am sooo close to hitting my goal of this year. With my dad's illness and death, I really didn't think I'd even come close.
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Prov. 31:30

I did it!! I'm done!!
I have finished my Christmas gift knitting! And I think it is safe to post the pictures! We will be having Christmas with my kids on Saturday and neither of them have a computer. I'm hoping word of mouth won't travel that fast!
I am so pleased with these! I hope the kids enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them for them!

Look at this cool looking fungus I found yesterday!
Here is Christmas gift I recieved last week from my SIL and her husband! A yarn organizer bag! It is awesome! I couldn't get a picture posted sooner because as soon as I got home with it, I filled it with the yarn I was working with at the time, which happened to be for gift knitting! I am nearly finished with the gift knitting and now have filled it with yarn for hats, which are patiently waiting for me to come back to!
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

giving & receiving
The wonderful Christmas gift we received from my stepdaughter and her family. She is always so great at getting us gifts we would never think to get ourselves, and yet are so fun!
More hats on thier way to warm someone's head and heart!
I do want to send and extra HUGE THANK YOU and (((HUGS))) to all of the people who have donated yarn to my hat project! You all are responsible for making the hat project possible! If I didn't have yarn, I couldn't knit it!!
In the last couple of days I have recieved a phone call and a note saying Thanks for hats. I couldn't do it without the generous support of all of you! So please consider the THANK YOU'S extended to YOU!
Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life.
Prov. 22:4

I finally get to post some Christmas gift knitting!
Here is the placemat set that I made for my step-daughter and her family. There are 6 placemats knitted in a basketweave pattern, one hotpad, and 2 crocheted potholders.
They have just recently finished a massive, beautiful kitchen/dining room re-model project and her dad thought they needed a set of placemats. He even picked out the yarn!
They seemed to be very happy with them! She even let us use them for supper last night! And they fit thier table perfectly!
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorites, against the powere of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil the heavenly realms.
Eph. 6:12

My Christmas Cactus is blooming! The flowers are HUGE! And, oh so bright and beautiful! This is a start from my Grandma's Christmas Cactus. The original plant has been around longer than I have! My Honey bought the funny face flower pot for me a few years ago!!
Another yarn donation! THANK YOU, Nona!

Another hat finished on the loom. I really had to push myself to finish this one! Ok, ok, ok to be honest, I really had to push myself to go that far on the bike!! LOL!
And these bright, cheerful hats are on thier way to the school!
A fool shows his annoyance at once,
but a prudent man overlooks an insult.

I finished another Christmas gift! (3 down, 1 to go!!)
I can share this one now. It is a cardigan for my mom.
I am still debating on whether I should put buttons on it or not.
But I did go through my daughter's button collection and find some that would look fabulous if I decide to put them on!! (really, I just wanted an excuse to go through her buttons!!)
When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord,
He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

I am still having computer problems. And right now I don't want to take the time to mess with it. I'm still working on Christmas gifts. So today I can only post one picture. I have more! I just don't know how to get it to show up here!!
But here are a couple more hats!
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and....your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

I did get another hat finished on the loom. However, I have to be honest, the bike riding has been slipping the last couple of days! But, on a positive note, the gift knitting is coming along!
I put out the Navity Scene yesterday. I won't put the tree up until next week. My parents bought this for me the first year that I had moved out of the house. I didn't have a tree that year, but I did have this!
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Gal. 5: 22-23

I was having problems with my internet yesterday, so this post is basically just a test!
Isn't it funny how dependant we become on our computers without even realizing it! Kind of scary in a way. Oh but I enjoy it! Makes me so very thankful to have a computer! I have to be honest, my life has been SO blessed because of the internet. I can't even begin to put into words how rich my life has become due to being able to connect with people and information that I never would have been able to without modern technology!
This is just one of my favorite bug pictures! I had never seen such a bright, colorful bug!
We typically see things, not as they are, but as we are. By how we position ourselves, we will see the evidence of God everywhere or nowhere. Too often our minds are locked on one track. We are looking for red, so we overlook blue; we are thinking tomorrow and God is saying now; we are looking everywhere, and the answer is under our nose.

We have the idea that God is going to do some exceptional thing-that He is preparing and equipping us for some extraordinary work in the future. But as we grow in His grace we find that God is glorifying Himself here and now, at this very moment. If we have God's assurance behind us, the most amazing strength becomes ours, and we learn to sing, glorifying Him even in the ordinary days and ways of life. (O. Chambers)
