Here is my dilemma: I started knitting some metered squares with Peaches 'n Cream cotton. It takes nearly as much time to make a square as it does to make one hat. All of the yarn I use for my charity work is donated to me. And now with the spring and summer months my knitting time is decreasing considerably. Should I continue making squares for an afghan? Or should I be spending that time making hats? (and then arises the questions of should I continue using just the cotton, or can I be mixing it with some acrylic? should I continue using just the metered squares, or can I be adding some squares of another stitch pattern? see what I mean about TOOOO much inspiration??!! I want to do it ALL!!) Because of using 'other peoples yarn', I feel a responsibility to do the 'right thing'. I'd appreciate some opinions from others.

LOOK what came in the mail yesterday!! I received this from one of my Yahoo groups: From the Heart of Texas, a wonderful group of ladies who knit and crochet for charity.
THANK YOU, Kayleen!

A few years ago I was given a large shoe box of tapestry wool. So far, I have just been using a bit here and there of it to add color stripes to the hats. I am wondering if anyone could tell me about this kind of yarn: would it be suitable for anything else? Such as mixed with acrylic for a child's afghan or lapghan?

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope.
Ps. 130:5

Nancy, What pattern did you use for your mitered squares? I tried knitting a mitered square dishcloth and had to frog it.
Thanks Mona
